Azarenka agrees with Nadal on the hardcourt controversy

Few days ago the King of Clay said that there should be more tournaments on soft surfaces as they are less taxing on players body. That is a good concept for two reasons. First it gives more variety to the game. Second it really helps players to preserve their body.

Now the world no.2 Victoria Azarenka has just shared the same opinion event if the Belarus is a hard court specialist.

“I think it’s a great option to look at it,” Azarenka said.

“I don’t know if the percentage ratio of playing on clay or grass, but maybe there could be some adjustments to some hard courts. I think everywhere you go the hard courts are different.

I also think that the game becomes so much more physical that obviously playing so many matches on hard court, and with a schedule it makes it tougher then.

So I’m sure over next few months, next year, there will be some maybe adjustments, maybe just some suggestions to see that.  But me, as a player, I’m open up to see what we can do.”

Wouldn’t be nice having more tournaments on grass?
