Tomic wins opener to set up a match with Murray in Miami

That was not an easy match for Bernard that had some problems to beat the world no.117 in 2 tricky sets. Finally the Australian made it in 83 minutes to set up an interesting match with Andy Murray.

Murray and Tomic have played only once in 2012 in Brisbane when Murray won with a comfortable 6-3 6-2 in the semis. Nowadays Tomic is a much better player to pose a serious threat for the Scott.

From Murray

Talking about his next opponent, Andy said  “I’ll see, obviously, when I play against him. I haven’t seen him play that much outside of Australia the last year or so,” Murray said after enjoying a first-round bye.

“He’s a very, very talented player. He makes it tough for everyone. He’s got a very unorthodox game.”

Andy’s path is full of young talents ahead. In fact, if the Scott wins he may face Dimitrov first and Janowicz next… Interesting draw…
