Amanda Anisimova was more than eager to commence her 2021, but things got sideways from the very beginning. The American sensation was due to play the current WTA500 in Abu Dhabi, but she retired soon after the draw was out for “illness.” Obviously, there was a strong suspicion that she was found positive for the Coronavirus. While there was no official announcement from the camp of the American teenager, Tennis Channel confirmed that Amanda indeed tested positive for Covid-19.

Amanda recently posted a message on Instagram saying “I wanna play”

Indeed, it will be now interesting to understand if Amanda will be allowed to go and play the Australian Open. Let’s hope she won’t any problem.
