According to CNN, Olga Sharypova reportedly claims that her ex-boyfriend tried to strangle her with a pillow in a hotel room ahead of the 2019 US Open. She described more about the incident in an Instagram post, where she does not directly name Zverev.

In response to the allegations, the 2020 US Open runner-up said that the accusations are “simply not true.” According to him, he does not know why Olga Sharypova came out with the claims.

In related news, Sascha Zverev is going to be a father. Zverev’s ex-girlfriend confirmed on Instagram that she is pregnant. She mentioned how excited she was to see her child soon. In an interview with Bild she acknowledged that he was indeed the father of the child. However, she also said that she is currently not in contact with the world no. 7 players.

Sascha Zverev recently helped raise funds for charity with fellow tennis legends Roger Federer and Dominic Thiem.  Along with Novak Djokovic, the tennis players have teamed up with charity portal United Charity to auction gears and outfits they previously used. According to Tennis Deutschland, the online auction will run until Thursday, November 12. Alexander Zverev will butt heads with Miomir Kecmanovic on Wednesday, November 04, estimated at 03:00 PM Paris time.
