Sharapova signed lucrative endorsement deals with Nike, Porsche, and Evian, and she topped the Forbes list of the highest-paid female athletes for 11 straight years before injuries affected her play in the latter stages of her career. Even though Sharapova and Williams are still the richest women in tennis; Naomi Osaka could join them in future Forbes magazine wealth compilation lists.

While Osaka did not make Forbes top 100 lists of the world’s richest self-made women, her multicultural background makes her attractive to many commercial sponsors, and she could surpass Sharapova and Williams to become the wealthiest female athlete in the world.
