Naomi Osaka, Nick Kyrgios and their disgust for Donald Trump

Nick Kyrgios and Naomi Osaka have already known their feelings about Donald Trump.

Naomi Osaka And Donald Trump

Nick Kyrgios has always been an avid criticizer of Donald Trump. He was seen wearing a F**k Donald Trump T-shirt in the past. His stance was termed rather aggressive by some. He is known not to be very verbal or stage savvy but his t-shirt had done all the talking.

Nick Kyrgios is currently ranked No. 42 in the world in men’s singles. He is the second highest-ranked Australian in the ATP rankings. Kyrgios has won six ATP titles and has reached eight ATP finals, including the 2017 Cincinnati Masters.

Kyrgios and his t-shirt vs. Trump

Nick has a reputation as a talented but mercurial player who frequently gets into trouble for his on-court conduct. On August 15, 2019, Kyrgios was fined $113,000 for his conduct at the Cincinnati Masters; the fine set an ATP record.

In 2017 when he was seen wearing this T-shirt reporters asked him the reason for doing so which he said was “pretty explanatory”. During that time he was heading for the Australian Open with a knee injury and no coach. After that, he went to the locker room to wear a proper Nike-sponsored shirt before going to see Tomic playing Thiem.

This lead to an invitation to a series of anti-trump tweets. Other Tennis players have also criticized the Trump Government.

Naomi Osaka slamming Trump for bullying the Asian community

Naomi Osaka, the 22-year-old former World Number 1, who recently became the highest-paid female athlete in sporting history, didn’t hold back when it came to being vocal about the continued practice of racism against the predominantly Asian community because of the Corona Virus. Naomi has used the Covid pandemic to spread community activism. Naomi has an interesting lineage and ethnicity.

She was born in Japan to a Haitian father and a Japanese mother, Osaka has lived and trained in the United States since she was three years old. She came to prominence at the age of sixteen when she defeated former US Open champion Samantha Stosur in her WTA Tour debut at the 2014 Stanford Classic. Two years later, she reached her first WTA final at the 2016 Pan Pacific Open in Japan to enter the top 50 of the WTA rankings. Although Osaka was raised in the United States, her parents decided that their daughters would represent Japan. They said, “We made the decision that Naomi would represent Japan at an early age.”

Osaka supporting the Black lives matter movement

Naomi Osaka has been extremely active in the Black lives matter movement. She even flew to Minneapolis to give her support. The Japanese champion is now extremely upset about how Asians are sometimes bullied in the US as pointed to be the root cause of the spread of the Coronavirus. Unfortunately, the President of the United States is not helping the cause as he has been labeling the Coronavirus as the “Kung Flu.”

Naomi posted a rather direct message on Twitter saying:

“But…but hear me out. Stop bullying the Asian community in regards to COVID.”

Naomi and many other tennis stars have been criticizing the Trump government over their lack of sensitivity towards the Asian community.
