Jannik Sinner To Play In St. Petersbourg

Jannik Sinner has just ended a rather exciting and successful run at the French Open, where he reached the quarter-finals after beating the likes of David Goffin and Sascha Zverev on the way. The Italian ace also impressed when playing the final 8 against the great Rafael Nadal. Jannik competed at the same level as the Spaniard for 2 sets. Jannik also had the opportunity to serve for the 1st set, but he was then broken by the King of Clay. Eventually, he lost 7-64 6-4 6-1, but once again, he showed his immense potential.

Jannik Sinner in St. Petersbourg

There is no time for Jannik to breathe and rest as the Italian is scheduled to play in the upcoming ATP500 in St. Petersburg, where he received a well-deserved and expected wildcard.

The entry list in St. Petersburg features many interesting players such as Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Matteo Berrettini, Andrey Rublev and Denis Shapovalov. Obviously, it is expected that Tsitsipas or Rublev will not compete in Russia if their journey at the Roland Garros will result too tough for their bodies.
