Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti from Italy are widely considered to be among the brightest youngster in tennis. While Jannik has already broken the top100, Lorenzo has just started to make strides in the ATP tour. Lorenzo shocked Stan Wawrinka in his very first match in an ATP main draw defeating the 3-times grand slam champion in straight sets and after serving a bagel (6-0 7-6).
Musetti impressed the entire tennis community with his win over the Swiss champion especially for the quality of his tennis. Sinner commented:
“I am very happy for his victory over Wawrinka. Yesterday in the room I saw the whole match and he played very well, as potential Lorenzo is perhaps even stronger than me. However it’s hello there is someone behind me and we have others guys like Zeppieri and Nardi.”
Jannik also revealed that in his opinion Lorenzo is not done and he can definitely beat Nishikori in the 2nd round to say:
“I think Musetti has a good chance against Nishikori.”

Currently ranked no.81, the Italian has a 7-10 win-loss record in 2020. Sinner is currently having a run in Rome where he defeated Benoit Paire 6-2 6-1 and Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-1 6-79 6-2.
Jannik Sinner will play Dimitrov in the 3rd round. They have never competed against each other so far in top competitions.

At the moment ranked no.249 (career-high), Musetti has a 19-10 win-loss record in 2020. Lorenzo is currently playing in Rome where he overcame Bernabe Zapata Miralles 7-62 0-6 6-1, Leonardo Mayer 7-64 6-3, Giulio Zeppieri 6-1 5-7 6-3 and Stan Wawrinka 6-0 7-62.
