WTA RANKINGS. Andreescu, Anisimova, Yastremska, Swiatek the top4 under 21

Bianca Andreescu, Amanda Anisimova, Dayana Yastremska and Iga Swiatek are the best under 21 in the WTA rankings.

Bianca Vanessa Andreescu

Bianca hasn’t played a single match in 2020 after she was injured twice and she was stopped by the pandemic. Bianca missed the first part of the season as she was still recovering from the knee injury suffered during the WTA Finals. Unfortunately, the Canadian sensation wasn’t fit to come back to competitions after the lockdown because of a foot injury. Curiously, Bianca keeps her world no.7 ranking as the WTA has adopted a “best of 2 years ranking system” because of the global pandemic.

Currently ranked no.7, Bianca played her last match on the 30^th of October 2019 when she had to retire when playing against Karolina Pliskova in the round robin and the scoreline was 6-3 .

Amanda Anisimova

Amanda is still struggling to find a deep run in her latest tournaments to finally break in the top20. That seems to be a matter of time.

Now ranked no.27, Anisimova has a 9-5 win-loss record in 2020. Anisimova is currently having a run in Rome where she conquered Donna Vekic 7-6⁴ 7-6⁶.

Amanda Anisimova will fight against Yastremska in the 2^nd round. In the past, they have never fight against each other as of now on the main tour.

Dayana Yastremska

Similarly to Amanda, Dayana is also struggling to have deep runs in her tournaments. The Ukrainian has just split with her coach Sacha Bajin and she hopes to have a good week in Rome even if she is currently coachless.

Now ranked no.29, Yastremska has a 16-8 win-loss record in 2020. Yastremska is now playing in Rome where she ousted Camila Giorgi 7-5 6-7⁵ 6-4.

Dayana Yastremska will come up against Anisimova in the 2^nd round. In the past, they have never fight against each other as of now on the main tour.

Dayana got to the final in Adelaide this year.

Iga Swiatek

At the moment ranked no.52, Swiatek played her last match on the 5^th of September when she lost to Victoria Azarenka 6-4 6-2 in the 3^rd round of the U.S. Open.

Dayana Yastremska and Iga Swiatek played each other once. The head to head is 1-0 for Yastremska. When they played, Dayana Yastremska won 7-6² 6-4 in the Rubber 2 in Fed Cup, Group I, Europe/Africa, Event A (Fed Cup, Group I, Europe/Africa, Event A) in February 2019.
