Denis Shapovalov is practicing in the Bahamas to get ready to play the US Open. The Canadian champion has the luxury to train with his girlfriend Mirjam Bjorklund.

Denis had a remarkable run by the end of the last season when he won his maiden title in Stockholm before reaching the final in the ATP1000 in Bercy. However, Shapovalov wasn’t so successful this year as he has never managed to win 2 consecutive matches after playing in 6 competitions. Of course, Denis will try to correct this in the upcoming weeks.

At the moment ranked no.16, Denis played his last match on the 21^st

of February when he was overcome by Alexander Bublik 7-5 4-6 6-3 in the quarter in Marseille.

 

Mirjam Bjorklund in 2020

Now ranked no.326, Bjorklund played her last match on the 29^th of February when she was defeated by Cristina Bucsa 6-4 6-2 in the qualifications in Lyon.
