Lucas Pouille has been struggling for long with his fitness to play just 1 match this year. The former world no.10 announced on social media that he will undergo an operation to his right elbow to release the following statement.
“It’s been a while since I’ve been able to do that shot without feeling any pain or discomfort… 😆 That’s why, after going through new medical exams, I’ve decided that my right elbow needed surgery. We tried everything else… I’ll have the surgery this month in Paris and will hopefully turn this painful page for good. I still hope to be able to be back on court before the end of the season. Massive thanks as usual for your support.”
Since the schedules of the tour are still uncertain it is definitely the “right” moment to take a prolonged pause.
