Andy Murray is getting back to tennis on the occasion of the so-called “Battle of the Brits.” The former world no.1 has been out from competitions since November because of his problem to his hip and he is eager to test his body in a proper competition.

Talking to reporters on Monday, Andy gave positive feedback about his condition. However, even if he is positive about his condition, he is not sure which tournament he is going to play.

“My hip’s been feeling better, probably the last three or four weeks. It feels better than in March. I think the schedule is tricky. I understand the reasons why it’s like that, but I don’t understand exactly which tournaments I will or won’t play.

The Grand Slams will be my priority, to play in those ones. But, in terms of what I would do in the lead-up to them, I’m not sure.”

Andy defeated Liam Broady (world no.211) 6-2 6-2 in his first match

“I moved OK but I find it quite tricky here, the courts are tight. It was all right for the first match in seven months. I served pretty well, but I didn’t hit the ball that well,” he commented.

In the meantime, Andy expressed his disappointment with what has happened in the Balkans following the quirky display offered by the Adria Tour that ended up spreading the Coronavirus among the participants and the community.

“I have always had a good relationship with Novak. In hindsight with what’s happened there, it is not a good look. When you are going through a time like this it’s important any of the top athletes around the world should be showing that we are taking this extremely seriously and knowing that we are using social distancing measures and whatever it is,” said Andy.
