Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic

Croatia was working hard to re-open its economy, hoping to salvage the summer tourism season along the Adriatic Sea coast. However, they received rather bad publicity after things got sideways in Zadar following the reckless staging of the Adria Tour that has contributed to spreading the Coronavirus. 5 people that were part of the tour tested positive to the Coronavirus and according to the local press also a 5-year-old resulted infected.

As reported by the Time, the Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic has to be tested after he attended the event. In addition, the authorities have banned visits to nursing homes and hospitals in Zadar.

This is not great publicity for Croatia and tennis in general. The sport has to be resumed but without being reckless.
