Marin Cilic and Borna Coric are the latest addition to Novak Djokovic’s Adria Tour. The world no.1 has been extremely active in organizing this event that will be played in the Balkans in the next few weeks, with the official tours halted by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Nole has already managed to get on board the likes of Dominic Thiem, Sascha Zverev, and Grigor Dimitrov. Djokovic added another couple of great players after Marin Cilic and Borna Coric agreed to take part in the competition.
The tour will be organized on 4 legs (details) and the second one is scheduled in Zadar (Croatia). That is the place where Marin and Borna will join the event.
Djokovic was elated in announcing the participation of the Croatians. Marin is a slam champion (US Open 2014) and was the runner-up in 2 slams (Wimbledon 2017 and Melbourne 2018). At 23 years of age, Borna is one of the most interesting prospects in Croatia.
“I thank Marin and Borna for joining the tour without asking for any financial compensation. I have known both of them for a long time, they are great guys and we are good friends, so I am really looking forward to meeting up with them in Zadar.
Marin is one of the best players ever from this part of the world while Borna has the potential to break into the top five on the men’s ATP Tour,” said Djokovic.
