Bianca Andreescu has been sidelined for almost 6 months by the knee injury suffered in the WTA Finals. The Canadian sensation was ready to get back to competitions in Miami, but she needs to wait at least 5 more weeks because of the suspension of the WTA.

Currently the world no.6, Andreescu played her last match on the 30th of October 2019 when she had to retire when playing against Karolina Pliskova in the round robin and the scoreline was 6-3 .
