Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils love spending time together. However, that is not always possible due to their schedules. Last week, Elina didn’t miss the chance of backing Gael in Dubai after she crashed out early in Doha. However, this week the world no.7 is “all alone” in Monterrey where she has just reached the final. Nevertheless, Gael didn’t miss the chance to see Elina playing on TV and he posted on Instagram a series of videos of the Ukrainian cruising to the final after conceding just 1 game to Arantxa Rus.
The couple will be reunited for the next 4 weeks as both Svitolina and Monfils will compete in Indian Wells and Miami.

Currently ranked no.7, the Ukrainian has a 10-6 win-loss record in 2020. Elina is playing in Monterrey where she ousted Danka Kovinic 6-3 6-2, Olga Govortsova 6-3 6-4, Leylah Annie Fernandez 6-4 7-5 and Arantxa Rus 6-0 6-1.
