Injured Kyrgios out from Delray Beach. Will he challenge Nadal in Acapulco?

Nick had to withdraw once again from a competition.

Nick Kyrgios

Bad news for the local fans in Delray Beach as the seed no.1 Nick Kyrgios had to withdraw from the competition citing a problem to his wrist. The Australian sensation was definitely one of the most interesting players to be part of the line-up, but he couldn’t make it. He has already withdrawn from the ATP250 in New York last week because of a problem with his shoulder. It’s interesting to notice that this was the first time that Nick was a top seed in an ATP event.

Will Kyrgios play in Acapulco?

Nick is meant to defend his title in Acapulco next week. Last year, the Australian conquered the tournament after winning a rather controversial match against Rafael Nadal during the week and after fighting with the local crowd for almost the entire part of the event. Nadal will play in Acapulco also this year, but the big question mark is if Kyrgios will be in Mexico to challenge him..

Kyrgios was meant to play Tommy Paul in Delray Beach. Instead, his place in the draw will be taken by the lucky loser Daniel Elahi Galan.
