Kim Clijsters is about to play her first match since retiring from tennis in 2012. The Belgian legend decided to be back to competitions after 8 years and having 3 kids.

Kim’s first test will be in Dubai where she will face Garbine Muguruza in the 1st round. The Spaniard is in supreme form and she really impressed during the last Australian Open when she reached the final.

Kim and Garbine have never played each other in the past. However, the Belgian seems to be confident that she has done her homework to comment:

“I’ve seen Muguruza play many matches in the last few years, so I have a little bit of an idea. Obviously I was a little curious to see who it was going to be. I don’t think it really matters in my situation right now.

“I still feel like I have a lot of things that I want to focus on myself, want to learn, start to get a feel for things again mentally, physically, emotionally, how I’m going to feel when I’m out there.”
