We are at the final 4 of the 2012 World Tour Finals with 2 exciting matches: Djokovic vs Del Potro and Federer vs Murray.
Our prediction for the final is Djokovic – Murray…but…
Djokovic – Del Potro
The Head to Head is 6-2 for Nole that won the last 2 matches in straight sets in the quarters at the US Open (6-2, 7-6(3), 6-4) and in Cincinnati in the semifinal (6-3, 6-2).
The only time Nole lost to Juan Martin was this year at the Olympic Games and last year in the Davis Cup when he retired because of a nasty back injury.
Delpo feels he is the underdog to clearly state” I don’t know who is the No. 1 favourite. Djokovic, Murray or Federer can win the tournament. I can tell you, I’m the No. 4 for sure. Anything can happen. I beat Federer, Novak and Andy long time ago, so maybe if I have lucky, I can repeat here.”
Nole is playing really well, he is super confident and he really has a strong grip on every match he plays. He is definately the hot favorite in this semifinal (in straight sets?)
Federer – Murray
Head to head is 10-8 for Andy that won the last 2 matches in straight sets in the semis in Shanghai (6-4 6-4) and in the final at the Olympic Games (6-2, 6-1, 6-4).
Roger has a good record against Andy at the Wourld Tour Finals (when played in London) to win 2 matches in the Round Robin (6-4 6-2 in 2010 and 3-6 6-3 6-1 in 2009).
Roger is not at his best at all. He is moody, tired and a bit lifeless. He qualified for the semifinals not in great style as he was in an “easy” group and he didn’t play well with Ferrer (David lost a chance over there) and he wasn’t super with Del Potro.
Andy is not at his very best also , but he is playing well to lose in 3 tough sets vs Djokovic in the round robin.
Murray seems to be the favorite as his tennis is more solid than Roger’s at the moment and it seems that he has found the solution to have the upper hand with the Federer.
But can you ever discount the Swiss Maestro?
