Since September 2019, Australia has suffered several bushfires that have not only destroyed wildlife but also homes. Up to now, not less than 25 people and hundreds of millions of animals have been killed. Besides, the bushfires have destroyed at least 2, 000 homes. To help the bushfire relief, Serena Williams and Coco Gauff’s coach, Patrick Mouratoglou also comes out in support.

This crisis has attracted the attention of people all over the world. A significant number of individuals have people, and organizations have joined hands to help combat this disaster. Some of those who have offered assistance and support include citizens of Australia, tennis players, politicians, and other celebrities. The assistance has been very evident among tennis players, coaches, and enthusiasts, considering that a number of tennis tournaments are already underway in Australia.

How Patrick Mouratoglou will help bushfire relief

There are many ways through which authorities and individuals have supported the bushfire relief. They include creative funding, food, goods, fire fighting, messages of support, knitting blankets, and auctioning. Any kind of help is aimed at supporting the bushfire relief effort to tackle bushfires crisis in Australia.

Patrick Mouratoglou has also joined the list of tennis personalities donating to the bushfire relief effort. Tennis enthusiasts now stand a chance to have a one-hour training session with Serena Williams and Coco Gauff’s coach. ASB has auctioned this training session with funds collected set to fund the bushfire relief.Already the bidding session is underway and it has surpassed $500.

The highest bidder will participate in a one on one training session with Patrick Mouratpoglou at the ASB Tennis Arena. This session will take place on 11th January from 8-9 am. Bidders are required to come with their own footwear and racquet  as per the terms and conditions to make the event a success.

Tennis fraternity comes out in support of Australian bushfire relief 

Besides, tennis players such as Nick Kyrgios, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, among others, have shown their support for the bushfire relief in different ways. Nick Kyrgios pledge tp contribute $200 per ace to that course. He will also be participating in a charity tennis match for bushfire victims alongside Federer, and Nadal.

The WTA has also come in to support the Bushfire relief effort. It will not only contribute to the recovery program but also bushfire relief effort by donating to the Australian Red Cross. For each ace served, WTA will be donating $100AUD during the singles, and doubles matches in the ASB Classic.
