ATP CUP. Why Tsitsipas is so proud to play for Greece to challenge Shapovalov, Zverev and Kyrgios

Stefanos is excited to play the ATP Cup for Greece

Stefanos Tsitsipas

Stefanos Tsitsipas is about to start his run at the ATP Cup as the leader of his team. The other players do not have the same pedigree as Stefanos. In fact, his teammates will be: Michail Pervolarakis (world no.487), Markos Kalovelonis (no.747), Stefanos’ brother Petros (no.1077), and Alexandros Skorilas (no.1170). Therefore, it doesn’t seem that they have too many chances in a tough group with Canada, Germany, and Australia.

A proud Greek

Stefanos is still extremely excited for the opportunity of playing for his nation to comment:

“It brings Greece new opportunities and new possibilities. As Team Greece’s highest-ranked player, I’m really proud that I have a team like this by my side, Most of them are young and, for us, it’s probably one of the biggest events to play as a team together. The ATP Cup is one of the biggest events we will ever play,”
