Zverev not worried or upset for facing Nadal at the ATP Finals in London

Sascha Zverev talks about facing Nadal in London

Sascha Zverev is about to start his campaign in London after a somewhat troubled year. The German sensation was hoping for a great 2019 after he ended 2018 with the prestigious title at the ATP Finals. However, some off-court issues kept him rather distracted and eventually he managed to qualify to London only at the “last minute.”

Currently ranked no.7, Sascha will kick start his run in the UK against the world no.1 Rafael Nadal. Zverev wasn’t too upset with that to comment:

“I’ll be playing against Rafa first I’m guessing. It could have gone both ways, either way. I was going to play world No. 1 or a recap of the final in my first match [vs. Djokovic].”

Talking about the groups, the German commented: “Both very tough groups, it’s going to be interesting how it will go. Obviously it’s the best eight players in the world so there’s nobody that you’d rather play, but I think the Andre Agassi group is especially interesting with the three young guys and Rafa in there. It’s a very open one.”

H2H and Prediction Rafael Nadal vs Sascha Zverev

Rafa leads Sascha 5-0 in H2H matches. However, they have never played on indoor hardcourts. The prediction is Nadal in 3 sets, but it also depends on his physical conditions after the Spaniard pulled out injured from Paris last week.
