The 38-year-old has described herself as a jewelry fanatic. “I’ve always worn crazy jewelry on the court. I mean, most people like jewelry, but I love jewelry.” Her new collection will offer customers pieces designed with real gold and silver but at pocket-friendly prices. Prices for her new line will range from $299 to $10,000 dollars.
This year, Serena continued to perform at a high level on the court. After returning to the court last season, she has reached three Grand Slam finals. She played at last year’s US Open final but lost to Osaka. She also reached the final of the tournament this year but lost to Andreescu. The 23-time Grand Slam champion featured in the final at Wimbledon. Simona Halep defeated the 38-year-old in an upset victory. Serena has not played since the US Open final and she missed qualifying for the WTA Finals in Shenzhen. Current world number one Ashleigh Barty won the tournament. With the tennis season in the books, the former world number one is preparing for 2020. She will play at the Auckland Open in January.
