Naomi Osaka celebrates best year of her life after winning 3 titles and dating her boyfriend YBN Cordae

Naomi admits that after all this year was rather good for her even if it was a rollercoaster

Naomi Osaka and YBN Cordae

Naomi Osaka had a rather eventful season in 2019. Everything started in the best possible way when she won the Australian Open. Then things got a weird turn after the Japanese fired her coach Sascha Bajin 2 weeks after conquering Melbourne. Later, Osaka hired Jermaine Jenkins with disappointing results to fire the American after the US Open. That was the beginning of a good stint with Osaka winning 11 consecutive matches and 2 titles in her home city Osaka and Beijing.

Naomi’s romance with YBN Cordae

The season had a good turn for Naomi after she started to date her boyfriend, YBN Cordae. The American rapper appeared in Osaka’s box during the US Open to “sort of” officialize their romance.

Osaka’s statement on Instagram

Naomi posted on Instagram a message to her fans celebrating her 2019 which was probably the best year of her life besides the highs and lows. The Japanese commented:

“On a real note 2019 was probably the best year of my life. Even though at times it really tested me, (like honestly 😩), I learned a lot this year and I realized I have greater influence over the things that can happen to me than I originally thought. 2019 has seen me struggle and thrive, also hit my highs and lows (drop to the floor- meg the stallion type low lol).

Towards the end of the year I realized all I can ever try to do is obtain more knowledge and attempt to grow as a person.

On that note- super excited to show everyone what I’ve got planned for 2020, (both on and off the court). Love you guys 🤗❤️ p.s : this is a tennis year thank you. I’m well aware we got 2 more months and we’re still out here in 2019.”
