Andreescu in tears after reading an anonymous note on her way to the WTA Finals in Shenzhen

The US champion is making a great impact in her home country and received an anonymous note from a grateful Canadian.

She became the first Canadian in history to win a singles Grand Slam title. Her victory has inspired many in her country to dream big and work for their goals.

Anonymous note

Andreescu recently received a thank you note from an anonymous Canadian citizen. The US Open champion was on a flight to Shenzhen for the WTA Finals, which begin next week. During the flight, a stranger passed by Bianca’s seat gave her a napkin and walked away. The napkin had some grateful words for the 19-year-old. The Canadian received gratitude from the anonymous stranger for inspiring his daughters to work hard. The man wrote that she had proved that nothing was impossible. He was grateful to her for having a positive impact on the lives of his children. The man thanked her and wished that her journey would bring her as much joy as it had brought to others. He simply signed the note of “A Canadian.”

Andreescu shared the note on her Twitter account. She revealed that it had brought her to tears. She said that while at times, she did not understand the impact she had on people’s lives, the note was a reminder of what she had accomplished. She noted that she had always wanted to influence people’s lives in a positive way. Receiving the note was a fulfilling moment for Andreescu. She promised there would be bigger things for her to accomplish in the future. The 19-year-old said that she was grateful for the platform and would continue striving to inspire others. However, Andreescu has moved up the rankings to number four and now holds the record outright. She will compete with the best singles players this year at the WTA Finals. The Canadian could play against Ashleigh Barty, Simona Halep, Karolina Pliskova, and Naomi Osaka. She played her first match against Osaka at the China Open. She lost in the quarterfinals of the tournament to the Japanese star. The WTA Finals will begin on 27th October.
