Wedding on Saturday

Nadal and Xisca will tie the knot on 19th October after dating for 15 years. While on holiday in Rome last year, Nadal proposed to his longtime girlfriend. They kept the engagement a secret until earlier this year when they revealed that they would get married in October. The La Forteza estate will be the venue for the wedding. Spanish royalty and famous celebrities will attend the event. Among the invited guests are the former king of Spain Don Carlos and his wife Sofia. Cristiano Ronaldo and Enrique Iglesias will also grace the ceremony.

After the wedding, Nadal will be back on the court for the end of the tennis season. The Spaniard is currently in a position to leapfrog the current world number one Novak Djokovic at the top of the rankings. He leads the Serbian in ranking points for the year. He could move to number one at the Paris Master which begins on 28th October. Before then, the two will play in an exhibition match in Kazakhstan on 24th October. Nadal has also qualified for the ATP Finals in London slated for next month.
