Medvedev withdraws from Moscow with the following schedule

Medvedev to tired to play in Moscow. here his next tournaments

Daniil Medvedev

Daniil Medvedev announced his understandable retirement from Moscow, where he was supposed to compete this week as the seed no.1 soon after winning the title in Shanghai. The Russian sensation is having a surprising starting from the American summer to conquer 7 finals and 3 titles.

Eventually, Daniil decided not to compete in Russia citing fatigue, but he was still present at the event. Obviously, it was in the air that Medvedev could have not played the ATP250. Soon after winning the ATP1000 in China, Daniil commented

“I’m going there [Moscow] if I catch a flight at 1:00 in the morning. If not, there is one at 11:00. Hopefully, I can make it to 1:00. I don’t have my bags ready.

But at this moment, I’m not sure. I need to see how my body reacts to the flight because it’s still a long flight, nine hours. I think it’s a five-hour difference. It’s not easy. Some players did it. I remember Roberto Bautista Agut, when he was in the final, he was playing Moscow. Lost, though, in the first round. So I will have to decide when I’m on-site there, but I’m going there.”

According to Russian news agency Tass, the new world no.4 was “drained psychologically and physically.”

Scheduled in Vienna and Bercy

The season is not over yet, and Medvedev is still expected to play in Vienna next week and Bercy the week after. Eventually, Daniil will try to conquer the last title of the season at the ATP Finals in London.
