Andy Murray was definitely hoping for a quick match when he was about to play Marius Copil in the Washington 3rd round as the contest was starting at almost midnight.
Eventually, things got really long, and the former world no.1 managed to conquer the match after 3 hours at… 3 am! The Brit won the encounter 6-7 (5) 6-3 7-6 (4).
Andy was seen in tears soon after the match after spending so much mental energy for so long.
Next vs. De Minaur
Andy will face Alex De Minaur in the quarters. They have never played each other so far.
