What moment for the Italian tennis!

Last week Fabio Fognini and Marco Cecchinato won the titles in Bastad and Umag, and now it’s time for Matteo Berrettini to claim his first ATP title in Gstaad whose defending champion was… Fognini!

The Italian had a fantastic run in Switzerland as he didn’t drop a single set for the entire week after defeating top players such as Feliciano Lopez, Andrey Rublev and Roberto Bautista Agut in the final (7-6 6-4).

Currently ranked no.84, Berrettini is now expected to go and play in Kitzbuhel where he will face Gilles Simon in the 1^st round.
