WHY Murray may not play Wimbledon. He withdraws from s-Hertogenbosch

Bad news for Andy Murray’s fans.

The Brit was due to stage his comeback next week in the Netherland, but unfortunately, he won’t be fit for that.

The former world no.1 had a hip operation back in January, and he has always stated he was targeting Wimbledon for his comeback. However, Andy tried to anticipate a bit his return, and he was scheduled to play in s-Hertogenbosch, but he couldn’t make it.

I hope to make it for the grass court season. MURRAY

Unfortunately, Murray seems to be not 100% optimist about his comeback in Wimbledon as now he is talking about “hoping.”

Murray commented

“I am not quite ready to return. I am still aiming to play in the coming weeks, but I want to be 100% when I do return.

It is with regret that I won’t be ready to play in Hertogenbosch. I was excited to play there for the first time.

I’ve been out close to a year now, which is a lot longer than me or any of my team expected, but I’m getting closer to playing again.

I’ve started training a few days ago and am hoping to make my comeback during the grass-court season.”

Andy is still meant to compete at the Queen’s Club (18-24th of June). Let’s see if he will make it.
