Chung to undergo a surgery and he will not play the Roland Garros

Bad news for the #nextgen fans and Hyeon Chung and Andrei Rublev will not be able to compete at the upcoming French Open.

Chung

The South Korean will not be able to compete because of an ankle injury. The 21-year-old released the following communicate

“Unfortunately, I had to withdraw from Lyon yesterday and now Roland Garros. I have been struggling with an ankle injury during the entire clay season. An MRI scan has revealed that I have a buildup of fluid in the ankle joint which might require a small procedure and then an extended period of rest.”

Unfortunately, also Rublev will not be able to play in Paris as he is still struggling with a back injury that he picked up at the Miami Open.
