Elise Mertens keeps on winning!
After a fantastic Australian summer when the Belgian won Hobart, and she reached the semifinal in Melbourne. Later, the world no.19 had to endure a not so great stint in the Middle East (Doha and Dubai) and in the US (Indian Wells and Miami) to get back in style on clay after winning back to back Lugano and now Rabat (Morocco).
In the Rabat final, Elise took full advantage of many unforced errors from her opponent Ajla Tomanovic (46) to win the match 6-2 7-6 (4).
This is Elise’s 4th career title, the 3rd of this fantastic 2018.
