Nadal. Thiem on a collision course in Monte Carlo

Rafael Nadal and Dominic Thiem are among the top favorite at the upcoming ATP1000 in Monte Carlo, and they may play each other as early as in the quarters.

Seeded no.1, Rafa will try to win his 11th title in the Principality, and after the 1st round bye, he is projected to face world no. 53 Bedene before possibly clashing against Karen Khachanov (no.40), Thiem (or Djokovic), Goffin or Dimitrov.

Djokovic

Ranked no.13, Nole is back with his historical coach Marian Vajda, and he will try to have some good results in the “home tournament” (Djokovic lives in Monte Carlo). Unfortunately, the Serbian had a horrendous draw to play a qualifier in the 1st round and then probably Coric, Thiem, and Nadal in the quarters.

Zverev

Seeded no.3, Sascha will try to win his third ATP1000 in Monte Carlo. After the 1st round bye, he will probably face Gilles Muller, Fabio Fognini, Luas Pouille, and Marin Cilic.

Shapovalov

It will be interesting to see how Denis will perform on the dirt. After playing against a qualifier, the Canadian has on his path Goffin, Bautista Agut, and Dimitrov.

Here the full draw.
