Fabio Fognini is not well-known for his good manners; on the contrary, he is famous for insulting umpires, opponents, fans and even his own team when on court.

Some history

Back in the days, Fognini called Filip Krajinovic “shitty gipsy”, he showed the middle finger to the French crowd at the Roland Garros, he threatened the umpire, he insulted his own father in Monte Carlo, he showed the middle finger also to the fans in Shanghai (a specialty?), he insulted Nadal in Hamburg, he called the umpire “whore” and “cocksucker” at the recent US Open.

In Indian Wells

The Italian added one more to his repertoire during his match against Chardy when he lost 4-6 7-5 (2) 6-4.  By the end of the match at the end of many points, Fognini kept on saying (translated)

“You’ll be world no.100 all your life. F***off, A***hole.

He does not know how he plays; he plays completely at random, what’s he doing?”
