I am not at peace, I am at war. DIMITROV

Grigor Dimitrov is currently world no.4, and he is well aware that with only Roger Federer standing right now among the Big4, he can achieve much more.

Grigor had a good start of his season, but not as good as he wished for. The Bulgarian sensation reached the semis in Brisbane, the quarters in Melbourne, the final in Rotterdam, and he crashed out in the opener in Dubai where he was the hot favorite for the title.

Dimitrov is determined to do much more in Indian Wells where he wants to keep his “flame alive.”

I am at war. DIMITROV

During a pre-tournament interview, Dimitrov commented

“Finally, my body is starting to understand. I’ve been more consistent. I wouldn’t say I’m at peace; I don’t want to be at peace right now. I’m only 26. It’s a war.

All jokes aside I’m in a place I can push myself on and off the court. When I get to the court, I want to push myself to the maximum. When I get to the fitness, I want to push myself to the maximum.

I just wanted to continue kind of this momentum going. And I started my off-season kind of early this year.

My goal was to do very well in Australia. I still had a good result, but it wasn’t what I was hoping for. I think I just need to keep going with the same attitude. Everything seemed to be in a good way.”

Grigor will face either Verdasco or Pella in the opener in Indian Wells.
