Cilic reaches the Australian Open final

Marin Cilic did it again!

The Croatian reaches his 3 slams final at the Australian Open after he won the US Open in 2014 and he was the runner-up last year in Wimbledon.

Marin had absolutely no problems in dismissing Kyle Edmund 6-2 7-6 (4) 6-2 in the semifinal. The only awkward moment for Cilic was when he had to face 2 consecutive break points (15-40) in the very first game of the match. After that, Marin didn’t concede any other break point to instead break Edmund twice in both the first and third set.

I moved him around. CILIC

Marin noticed that from the beginning of the third set Edmund had some physical problems to comment

“I noticed in the third game in the third set; he let a couple of balls go. I was seeing that his movement was restricted, so I was trying to move the ball around.”

Marin will face either Hyeon Chung or (most probably) Roger Federer in the final. The good news for him is that after this week he will be ranked no.3 (career high).
