I just count my millions. TOMIC AFTER SHOCKING LOSS

Another day of misery for Bernard Tomic that fails to qualify for the Australian Open main draw after losing against a world no.218 before losing face (again).

What happened?

Tomic had a couple of embarrassing displays last year when he admitted that he was bored playing in Wimbledon and that he was playing only for money. The Australian has repeatedly said that at his young age (he is now 25), many people can only dream about the money he made.  Eventually, Tomic’s rank dipped down so much that he is now only world no.142 and the Australian Open organization has refused to grant him a wildcard for the main draw (rightly so).

Tomic won the first 2 rounds at the qualifications to state that he has never needed the help of his Federation. Eventually, Tomic fell in the last match of the qualifications against the world no. 218 Lorenzo Sonego (6-1 6-7 6-4).

I just count my money

Soon after losing the match, Tomic commented “I just count money, that’s all I do. I count my millions. You go make 13-14 million. Good luck guys.”

When you think he reached the bottom… you have to think again.
