Happy about the past, but focus on the future. DIMITROV

Grigor Dimitrov had an amazing 2017 after he won his first ATP1000 and the ATP Finals before ending the year as the deserving world no.3.

The Bulgarian sensation is now trying to win his first slam at the Australian Open and he is extremely well positioned to do that, but he knows that he needs to put aside the success achieved last season and think only about the future.

The past doesn’t mean anything. DIMITROV

During the pre-tournament press conference at the Australian Open, Grigor commented

“Obviously I’ve achieved certain things that I’ve always wanted to. I always wanted to be a top-five player. I did it. I wanted to win a Masters 1000 event and I did it. I haven’t dreamt that much about winning at the O2, but I did it.”

“[the past] It doesn’t mean anything. Of course, I’m pretty happy and excited with what I have achieved. Obviously, I have high expectations of myself. I want to do the best that I can.”

Grigor will face a qualifier in the first round in Melbourne. That is already a good start.
