De Minaur wins nextgen battle against MMoh

Alex De Minaur is the nextgen of the moment.

The 18-year-old is still ranked no.209, but this is going to change soon and dramatically. In fact, the Australian reaches the semifinal at the Brisbane International after playing an outstanding match against 19-year-old Michael Mmoh. The youngsters were battling hard for the first part of the first set. Then Mmoh failed to convert 3 break points before he completely caved in and lost 9 consecutive games (from 3-4). The final result was 6-4 6-0. The match lasted just 49 minutes with the second set lasting only 25 minutes.

The semifinal

Alex will face Ryan Harrison in the final 4. Ranked no.47, the American is still the favorite over the Australian, but Alex has already won many times against the odds.
