Nadal confirms to play Brisbane and the Australian Open

Rafael Nadal gave an ominous message to his fans after he decided not to play the Mubadala World Tennis Championship because of the knee injury that has been bothering him for the last few months.

Soon after his withdrawal from the event in Abu Dhabi, there have been speculations about the opportunity of Rafa to play in Brisbane and Melbourne in January.

The statement

Nadal gave the assurance to his fans that he is still planning to compete during the Australian summer to comment

“I am very sorry and disappointed to announce that I won’t be competing this year at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship. It was a tough 2017, and I need to take my calendar in a different way in order to be ready.”
