We are working on 1 aspect of Zverev’s game. FERRERO

Sascha Zverev had a massive season in 2017 after he won 5 tournaments (2 Master ATP1000 in Rome and Montreal), and he reached a world no.3 career high. Now ranked no.4, the German has to make some more adjustments to get to the top of the rankings.

What Zverev has to do right now

According to Sascha’s coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero, the German has to work on his mental side. During an interview with ibtimes.co.uk, the Spaniard commented

“Zverev is very competitive, and results have arrived sooner than expected. He is a top world player so far, and during the last part of the season, he focused on the mental side in order to cope with pressure.

He is number four in the ATP rankings, and they now begin to see him as a potential number one. Because he is able to make it. We are working a lot on that side of him, so far Zverev has not had to face this aspect of the game.”

Sascha will kick-start the new season at the Hopman Cup where last year he defeated Roger Federer.
