After winning 10 Roland Garros and an amazing amount of some other top tournaments on clay, Rafael Nadal is definitely the strongest player in history to have played on the dirt.
Interesting enough, in his early days, Rafa wasn’t as keen on clay as he is now. A very old interview is getting viral when the King of Clay was just 16 and he said that “I prefer indoor hardcourts and grass to clay. But I also like clay.”
The when asked about his dream, he answered “Winning Wimbledon, but I have to work hard”. Well, he won 2 of those, but also 10 of the “other.”
