INJURY. Nadal may skip Basel and Paris

Rafael Nadal has played a lot of tennis this year (75 matches) with great results, but his body is now struggling. The King of Clay has recently won the US Open, and he has played a fantastic tennis in Asia where he won Beijing, and he reached the final in Shanghai.

Unfortunately, after so much tennis, the world no.1 was clearly struggling with his movements against a superb Roger Federer, and he also had on display a heavily strapped knee during the final.

Not sure about his schedules

During the interview following the final, a classy Nadal refused to elaborate about his knee, but he didn’t hide the fact that he was not 100% to comment

“I don’t want to talk about that [his knee] now, sorry. After losing final is not the moment. I am not worried, though. ‘I don’t know about Basel. I need to think about it. I cannot tell you now.”

Apparently, Rafa will go to have an MRI back in Spain and here is the possibility that he will skip both Basel and Paris.

Let’s hope he will be fine.
