Caroline Garcia becomes the first player to conquer Wuhan and Beijing back to back to also qualify for Singapore.

The Frenchwoman had an unbelievable fortnight in China after she won both titles following great wins against top players such has Angelique Kerber, Elina Svitolina, and Simona Halep.

In the Beijing final, Caroline had the tough task to play the new world no.1 Simona Halep, but eventually, she beat the Romanian 6-4 7-6(3) after both players scored 76 points.

Soon after the match, Caroline explained how she defeated Simona to comment

“The key was definitely to be aggressive and try to dominate the rallies; my serve was really an important thing because she’s a very good returner. I have to be aggressive, but I have to control myself sometimes.”

Caroline has now managed to qualify for Singapore. It will be interesting to see if she will go for more.
