Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have a fantastic relationship that goes beyond their tennis rivalry and they are always keen to play together when they have the opportunity. The organization of the Laver Cup has just confirmed that both players will represent Team Europe again this September in London. The event will be staged at the O2 Arena from September 23-25.
Roger and Rafa helped kick start the prestigious competition in 2017 and it was memorable when they played doubles in Prague. Team Europe has won all the editions of this competition and it will be the favorite also in 2022.

Now the world no.30, Federer played his last match on the 7th of July 2021 when he capitulated to world no.11 Hubert Hurkacz 6-3 7-6(4) 6-0 in the quarter in Wimbledon (draw).
Presently, during this year the Swiss owns a composed 0-0 record.
Rafael Nadal in 2022
Currently ranked no.5, Nadal played his last match on the 30th of January when he defeated world no.2 Daniil Medvedev 2-6 6-7(5) 6-4 6-4 7-5 in the final in Australian Open to win his 90th career title.
Presently, during this year Rafael has managed to achieve an overall 10-0 win-loss record. Rafael conquered 2 titles in 2022 in Melbourne and at the Australian Open.
Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal squared off 40 times. Their actual head to head record is 24-16 for Nadal. Before, the last time they played each other, Roger Federer won 7-6(3) 1-6 6-3 6-4 in the semifinal in London (Wimbledon) in July 2019.
