Soderling not sure about his comeback

Oh gosh… difficult days for Robin Soderling.

The Swede has been struggling for long time with the mono (alias the “kissing desease”) and he is now unsure when and if he will be back.

To tell the truth , the mono is a tricky illness, but being out 1 year and half for it… it’s a bit strange.

From Soderling

“The final decision on my career has yet to peak,” he said. “If I get back in 2013, then I do not know … I guess I just stayed veteran circuit. Already would probably be too heavy to get back.

“I’m frustrated because I’m doing what I can. If you would have asked me before two-three weeks ago, I would have been really positive. Could I play basically every day, but then I catch cold. Sometimes I go full half an hour, the next day it’s too much. Hard to deal with it. Impotency is upsetting. I also consulted with sports psychologists, situation is irritating, but not to drive you crazy. Gradually, I realized that I only accept state. Nothing is certain.”

His Achievements

Unfortunately Robin had to stop when he was at his peak. He reached the world no.4 ranking and he managed to reach the Roland Garros finals in 2009 and 2010. He is the only player to have beaten Rafael Nadal at the Roland Garros (2009 and Rafa still holds an incredible 52-1 record at the French Open).

Robin won 10 career titles (20 finals) to reach also the quarter finals at the US Open in 2009 and 2010 and the quarters also in Wimbledon in 2010.

Maybe his beest achievement was her daughter few months ago.. 🙂

We sincerely hope that he will mange to achieve more.

Looking forward to seeing his comeback.
