It’s Tsitsipas’ mania in Greece and the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis couldn’t miss Stefanos’ outstanding semifinal against Roger Federer.
Stefanos is in supreme form and he received the full support of many Greek fans at the O2 Arena. Among them, there was a special one as the Kyriakos Mitsotakis decided to be in pole position to support Tsitsipas. Mitsotakis greeted the 21-year-old after the win outside his locker room.
After the match, Mitsotakis posted this message: “A great champion makes all of Greece proud!”

Stefanos commented:
“I did hear people yell my name and supporting me in Greek. It’s important. It’s important for the growth of the sport in our country. I enjoy having people from Greece come support me, and I hope they do more often because that makes me feel closer to playing home, let’s say. [It] gives me a tremendous amount of energy.”
