Max Purcell and Matthew Ebden will face Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis in the Australian Open final on Saturday in Melbourne (doubles).
Even if this will be an all-Australian final, there is no good blood among the players. Recently, during an exchange on social media, Max Purcell slammed Kyrgios and Kokkinakis saying that they are disrespectful to their opponents.
Max commented:
“All I’m saying is the way those boys are acting is extremely disrespectful to their opponents. I’m playing with good sportsmanship and having a good time. Not having the crowd yell profanity at my opponents and purposely distracting them in between points”.
Indeed, both Nick and Thanasi have been called disrespectful by their opponents especially because of Kyrgios’ antics.

Currently the world no.103, Thanasi played his last match on the 17th of January when he was overcome by world no.126 Yannick Hanfmann 6-2 6-3 6-2 in the 1st round in Australian Open (draw).
This season the Australian has a 8-2 record. This year, Thanasi conquered 1 tournament in Adelaide.
