Argentina and France to clash in Davis Cup for a place in the semis

A “Del Potro less” Argentina will play a “Gasquet less” France in the quarters in Buenos Aires.

Argentina won’t have its most representative player (it seems that there are some tensions in the team), but also France had to cope with an important absence as Gasquet (now world no.9) had to pull out for an injury.

Gasquet will be replaced by Simon (world no.13… still not that bad….) to give some confidence to French captain Arnaud Clement commented  “lThe most important thing is that Gilles is in great form and feeling confident. Everyone was expecting Richard given his early season results but he is still feeling pain in his ankle.”

Simon said: “I hope to play a great match. We are all fit, I’m ready for the fight. “I prepare to be available from the Friday as the fifth player, that’s what one does… and I’m not so far either.”
