The recently launched Laver Cup has been a huge success regarding media coverage and popularity. Among many interesting aspects that have pleased the tennis fans, probably the most startling was the “partnership” between Federer and Nadal. Besides playing together the doubles, it was extremely refreshing observing the interaction between the two tennis legends that for once they were “not enemies” on the tennis court.
Federer, Nadal should play together some more
It was interesting to hear that even Uncle Toni was happy to see Rafa partnering with his “old foe”. The Spaniard commented
“I think for tennis it was very good. Federer and Nadal, like Real Madrid and Barcelona, made the popularity of tennis increase. It would be good for tennis to see them play together again, but at the moment both of them are focused on singles.”
